Astrophotography on The One Show

Sky at Night Magazine's features editor Will Gater gives his imaging tips

One Show presenter Jamie Crawford prepares to film a piece to camera

Tonight on BBC One, the One Show team go stargazing, with the aim of learning how to take a simple ‘startrail’ picture. On hand to help presenter Jamie Crawford take his first steps into astrophotography will be our features editor, and experienced astrophotographer, Will Gater. Jamie and Will travelled to rural Oxfordshire and the famous Rollright Stones to photograph the night skies, with the ancient stones providing an impressive foreground for their shots. Find out whether they ‘got the shot’ on tonight’s programme, which starts at 7pm on BBC One.
